October 1st, 2007 by Ryan Stewart

We released a ton of news this morning that has gotten a lot of pickup on Techmeme. Part of the news is that beta 2 of AIR is now available on our site. Beta 2 includes a bunch of bug fixes as well as some new functionality. We’re getting closer to the launch and we can’t wait to get your feedback on this new version. Along with the second beta of AIR we’ve finally released Adobe Media player as well!

Ya, getting Air working on Linux would get you many more developers trying it out. Well, at least me and every developer friend I have.

Any Developers want to work on flex/air project that’s been in development for about 6 months? Go to http://www.organicincentive.com/customizer.html, create an account, go to widget editor and test the software. We have a lot to do, but I have jobs for top of the line Flex developers.

I am in late beta with a game called ChipWits II. I’d say it’s one of the more complex AIR apps anyone has seen. I just uploaded it to AIR Marketplace.

It’s a programming game in which players program robots using an iconic language. I wrote the original ChipWits on the Mac in 1984 and this is a big upgrade.

    It’s at http://chipwits.com

I need testers so I am beginning to spread the word about it.

We’ve entered it in the Independent Games Festival: http://www.igf.com/php-bin/entry2008.php?id=187

Love to hear what you think of it.

    Gamely,

    Doug Sharp
