Philadelphia Start Time Changed

Thursday, August 2nd, 2007 by Mike Chambers

Just a quick note, but we have had to move the start time for the Philadelphia AIR Camp event from 5:15 to 6:30. The agenda hasn’t changed, but all of the times have shifted back.

You can see the complete agenda on the Philadelphia event page.

Also, the Philadelphia Flash User Group is holding an AIR application contest to coincide with the event. They have some SWEET prizes lined up, so make sure to check out the website for more information.

Couple of Denver Agenda Changes

Friday, July 20th, 2007 by Mike Chambers

We are in Denver today for AIR Camp (last stop on the first leg of the tour). The morning sessions have gone well, with Ryan Stewart giving the keynote, and Mike Chambers and Kevin Hoyt showing how to get started with building AIR applications.

We have a couple of last minute changes to the agenda. First, we have added a session for Yahoo (one of the tour partners), who will be showing off some AIR application prototypes that they have been working on.

Second, the night session has been shorted and will end around 7:15 to 7:30. We have been finding that everyone has been hanging around from the day session, and a 12 1/2 hour conference day (as we had in LA) is just too much for everyone. We will be making a similar tweak to the rest of the stops on legs 2 and 3.

You can view the updated Denver agenda here.

The on AIR Bus Tour Chat Application

Wednesday, July 18th, 2007 by Ryan Stewart

Ever since the first part of the trip we wanted to give you guys a way to chat with us on the bus. Ted Patrick cooked up an AIR application that does just that and lets you view the video at the same time. The chat seems to be pretty popular so far, so download it and check it out!

Registration Problems on Friday

Monday, July 2nd, 2007 by Mike Chambers

The vendor that we are using to handle the registration had some technical issues on Friday, and thus, if you tried to register you may not have been able to access the page. Everything is working now, and if you were not able to register, you can register now.

Sorry about the hassle.

Load up the Bus! AIR (”Apollo”) is going on the Road

Sunday, June 10th, 2007 by Mike Chambers

A couple of months ago, we held Apollo Camp in San Francisco. This was a one night developer event for web developers interested in learning more about the Adobe Integrated Runtime (AIR) (which, at the time, was known by its code-named of “Apollo”). The event was a huge success, and even before it was over, we began to get requests to do additional Apollo Camps across the country and world.

Well, that is exactly what we are doing. The on AIR Bus Tour is a 18 City tour over the next couple of months across North America. We are packing the bus full of Flash, Flex and JavaScript developers and going across the continent to hold free developer conferences for anyone interested in learning more about the Adobe Integrated Runtime (AIR).

The tour is about a lot more than just the conferences though. The entire tour will be tracked online at onair.adobe.com. There you can find the latest news, information, event schedules and APIs and data feeds. Once the tour starts, we are planning on hosting live 24 / 7 video feeds from the bus, as well real time data and location feeds and updates from the tour.

We will be posting more details about the tour over the next couple of days and weeks. In the meantime, check the schedule to see when the bus will be in your city, and then head over and register for the tour.
