[11:40] Leveraging HTML and JavaScript within Adobe AIR(Kevin Hoyt)
Gain a better understanding of the HTML and JavaScript environments within the Adobe Integrated Runtime, and explore how these technologies can be leveraged in both Flash / Flex and HTML / JavaScript-based applications. JavaScript and ActionScript script bridging will be covered, as well as how to use AIR, Flash Player and ActionScript Library APIs directly from JavaScript.

[1:30] Business Class AIR – Rich Desktop Clients for On-Demand Apps (Salesforce.com)
This session will demonstrate how Web services enabled, on-demand
applications are a perfect companion to the new generation of AIR-based
desktop technologies and apps. Combining the ability of salesforce.com’s on
demand platform to build and run sophisticated business applications –
entirely over the Internet and without software – with the rich app
functionality of Flex and AIR, developers can create “business class” AIR
apps that meet the requirements of the enterprise, delivering the innovation
and creativity of the next generation of desktop apps, and can be built and
deployed in record time.
[1:50] Introduction to the Embedded Database API (Christian Cantrell)
Gain an understanding of the
SQLite powered embedded database api contained within Adobe AIR and how to use it to store structured data on the client.
[2:20] Break
[2:30] Incorporating Video into AIR Applications (Akamai)
Gain an understanding of how to develop AIR applications that leverage Flash video. Topics include how the Internet impacts performance of connected AIR applications, as well as an an integration strategy for utilizing Akamai's Edge Platform global network.
[2:50] Using NativeWindows in Adobe AIR (Chafic Kazoun)
In this session you will receive a solid understanding of the windowing API
capabilities of the Adobe Integrated Runtime starting from the NativeWindow
class all the way up to the Window component. This session covers the
creating, sizing, customizing windows along with developing multi-window
applications.
[3:20] Yahoo and Adobe AIR (Yahoo!)
The Yahoo! Developer Network offers a wide range of Web Services and APIs
that you can use in your AIR application. In this talk, we'll introduce
some of that content, such as Yahoo! Maps, Flickr, and Yahoo! Search.
We'll also show off some interesting AIR applications created by internal
teams at Yahoo!.
